Charlotte - Rescue Work in the Negev
Charlotte is a wonderful German woman who works in the Negev. We have been in touch for over a year. I helped her save the last two dogs but there are many costs and she needs your help. Rescuing a dog in Israel is very expensive and complicated.
The last rescue story was an extremely successful. Charlotte found Major near her home, in the Negev desert. With my suggestion she immediately took him to the veterinary clinic to get checked and vaccinated. Then Charlotte drove all the way to Herzliya where S.O.S pets took him to a foster home. A few weeks later Major was adopted by a British couple who moved to Israel. DaLi's rescue was a lot more complicated but he has finally been adopted in the Czech Republic.

"I do not have an official animal rescue organization. I am working as a teacher of Self Awareness and Meditation with students in Israel and Europe. I have been living in the Negev desert for 17 years. I live in open spaces near Bedouin settlements. Dogs kept showing up near my home. Some were chipped, and I tried to find their owners, others were not and I tried to find them a permanent home. I have also adopted several dogs. I love them dearly and consider them as my family.
I appreciate any amount of donation. As of today 2,500 NIS are missing to cover DaLi’s stay at a dogs Hotel. The owner of the dog hotel gave me a special rate and allows me to pay in installment. The reason DaLi was in a dog hotel: I was overseas for work for several months. Right now, DaLi is with me, he received all the proper vaccines, I have found him an adoptive family in the Czech Republic and will take him there in August. I would like to add that DaLi who I found in the Negev desert was taken to the SPCA in Beersheba a year ago. He was then adopted by two families who rejected him due to personal health problems. This is DaLi’s last chance to find a loving home. I found DaLi in the Negev desert and I am committed to make sure this dog has a good life. When I return, I am sure I will encounter more dogs who need to be saved."
