Gail writes on her site:
I am Gail and I have been running Chachi’s Haven cat shelter for about 20 years near Telmond in Israel. The shelter cats and street cats, whom I feed every night, give me purpose and motivation and watching their antics keeps me smiling. Please help me to help the cats.
I run and manage the shelter on my own and Chachi’s Haven relies on supporters like yourself to provide food and shelter for the cats. Please like us on Facebook and follow our progress to help the cats.

Safe Haven for Donkeys
The organization was established in the year 2000 with the aim of assisting thousands of donkeys from Israel and the Palestinian territories. Today, their shelter in Israel provides lifelong care for over 200 donkeys (of all ages) who were exploited or abandoned.
The charity work does not stop at the shelter's gates: Every month, their mobile clinic helps 500 worker donkeys, mules and horses across Israel and the Palestinian territories.
The sanctuary needs Donations and volunteers. You can also virtually adopt a donkey. There are 23 donkeys available for adoption. Berri seen in the picture is one of them. Soldiers found him in Otef Aza after October 7. He was wondering around in the firing zone. He was only 5 months old and undernourished. Now he is doing well, he has new friends in the sanctuaries. But the costs are high, adopting is a great way to help and feel a personal connection to the rescued donkeys.

Beit Natan’el (House of Natan’el)
Beit Natan’el is a unique nonprofit; dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and finding loving homes for abandoned rabbits.
As the only rabbit-focused organization in Israel, Beit Natan’el leads the national effort to protect and care for them.
Today, nearly 200 rescued rabbits live under our care, including permanent residents who have found their safe haven with us. We provide essential medical treatment, ongoing rehabilitation and whenever possible, a warm and loving forever home.
Every rabbit we save receives a true second chance at life.
The Israeli Primate Sanctuary Foundation is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to rehabilitate monkeys in need. They usually rescue trafficked monkeys.
How does a monkey get to Israel?
Criminal traders smuggle monkeys to Israel in horrendous conditions, after buying them from hunters who kidnaped them from their family. This usually happens at the price of the mother's life, or/and the lives of other monkeys in the troop, all in the name of people that want to "adopt" a monkey. Obviously, the trade directly encourages hunting in the countries of the monkey's origin. Each monkey gets sold in Israel for thousands of dollars, so also if many of them die of starvation, heat or cold on the way – the traders are still making a big profit.
What happens to a monkey that is held captive in a private home? Are we, as human being, equipped to supply for a monkey's needs? The answer is obviously No!. Monkeys are extremely social animals, and life in a troop is strongly related to their functioning and physical and mental development. Also, these monkeys are often found (in Arab regions) severely abused. Recently a monkey are found tied with a chain in an abandoned building, he was in poor health when he was rescued.
Their mission
To provide shelter and care to primates rescued from abuse, neglect, and exploitation and to increase awareness of the problem of illegal possession of primates as pets in Israel.
The Primate Sanctuary invites tourist groups to visit and asks for donations to keep the sanctuary running, so they can take care for the precious monkeys.
Message from Shanti sanctuary:
The Shanti Farm in Northern Israel is a non-profit center for the rescue and rehabilitation of a wide range of animals. From cows, pigs, chickens and goats to cats and dogs, we work to create a loving environment for animals of all kinds. Shanti Farm was established in 2019 by animal activist and advocate Inbal Kessem. We specialize in the hardest cases, animals who are wounded or disabled, the ones others have given up on. We take them all in with a commitment to rehabilitate and care for them, which costs thousands of dollars a month in veterinary costs. We have found loving homes for over 1,000 animals since we began. We work with dozens of dedicated volunteers each week and create connections between people and our animal friends.
We need your help! Please assist us in saving animals in the most desperate of situations. Your contribution will allow us to continue and expand our work, so that no animal who needs us will go without love and care.
